TERMS & CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE AGREEING & PLACING A BOOKING.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY, AND RELEASE OF
LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS. THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.

HEALTH WAIVER

All persons using the sauna, do so at their own risk.

 

  • Alcohol and nudity are not permitted in the sauna. Kiln Sauna operators reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons.

  • Children under the age of 16 are NOT permitted to use the sauna during SOCIAL sessions unless it is a FAMILY SOCIAL.

  • Children between 6-16 are only permitted during a PRIVATE or FAMILY SOCIAL session if accompanied by a parent or guardian inside the sauna on a 1 : 1 ratio. The parent or guardian must accept that they take full responsibility for the child's safety and conduct.

  • All hanging jewellery should be removed before entering the sauna to prevent burning.

  • All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. If you have any reservations regarding sauna use, it is essential that you consult your GP before making a booking.
     

You must not use the sauna if you:

  • suffer from high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder or suffer from epilepsy or diabetes;

  • are pregnant; or

  • are prone to dizziness or fainting

  • have any fungal infections or open wounds on your body or feet.

  • have any medical condition, such as anhidrosis, that interferes with your ability to sweat.

  • are taking or are under the influence of any drugs, alcohol, medication, or other substance affecting your mental
    or physical state.

  • are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 at the time of use and have had recent onset of any of the following:
    ● A new continuous cough
    ● A high temperature
    ● A loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

  • All persons using the sea as a 'cold plunge' do so at their own risk. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you are a capable swimmer and can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures, other dangers and varying conditions of the sea.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK

I/We assume all risk and responsibility for death, personal injury, damage to personal property and loss of personal property that I/we sustain in connection with my/our participation in the Sauna, except to the extent such damages, injuries, or death results from conduct that constitutes greater than ordinary negligence under UK law.
 

  • I/We have been provided the opportunity to participate in Kiln’s sauna (“the Sauna”) and voluntarily agree as follows;

  • My/My groups' participation in the sauna involves known and unknown risks, dangers, and hazards that may cause death, personal injury, damage to personal property and loss of personal property.
    The risks and consequences I/we are acknowledging include, but are not limited to:

  • Uneven surfaces on the beach or slippery surfaces caused by water, ice, snow, or other substances;

  • Exposure to cold and hot temperatures;

  • Exposure to hot equipment and steam;

  • Increased internal body temperature;

  • Collisions or contact with other persons and objects inside or outside of the Sauna;

  • Exposure to airborne illnesses or transmittable diseases;

  • Defects or weaknesses in the design, construction, repair, or modification of the Sauna;

  • Visible and invisible natural or man-made hazards in or around the Sauna

  • Other foreseeable and unforeseeable risks that contribute to the unpredictability of my/our participation in the Saun

 

ASSUMPTION OF RESPONSIBILITY
I am / We are responsible for my/our own safety and personal property. I/We cannot and will not rely on anyone other than myself/ourselves to keep me/us or my/our personal property safe before, during, or after participating in the Sauna.My/Our participation in the Sauna is voluntary and I/we can refuse to participate or quit participating in the Sauna at any time for any reason.

 

GROUP BOOKING RESPONSIBILITY

  • If you are making this booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to make your group aware of the terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna use. Please share the details provided here.
     

SAUNA ETIQUETTE

  • Sauna etiquette must be adhered to at all times as follows :

  • Removing footwear and washing feet in the bucket provided before entering the sauna

  • Entering and exiting the sauna in a safe manner

  • Keeping access points clear to allow other users to exit safely and swiftly if needed.

  • Sitting on a towel at all times.

  • Staying in the sauna for no longer than 15 min at a time (we recommend 5-12 min sessions)

  • Asking other sauna users before gently pouring a small amount of water onto rocks.

  • Drizzle, don't dump water - too much steam at high temperatures can be dangerous and cause burns.

  • Pouring too much water on the rocks will also cool the stove and bring the overall sauna temperature down.

  • Only pouring the provided 'sauna water' on the stove and nothing else - NO essential oils/ other liquids - these are a fire risk.

  • Not touching any part of the stove / stove cage or rocks.

  • Glass is not permitted inside the sauna. Please bring your own water bottle and leave in the changing area.

  • Getting changed within your booked time slot, if you are using the changing room.

  • Removing make-up and skincare products for hygiene reasons.

  • Ensuring you have not dyed your hair within the previous 72 hours

  • Please do not take photographs or videos during our community social sessions to respect our other guests

Kiln Sauna takes no responsibility for the damage or loss of customers' property.
 

ADMISSION POLICY

Kiln Sauna operators reserve the right to refuse admission for any reason that may be deemed a health and safety risk. Kiln Sauna operators reserve the right to request a person leave a session for any reason that may be deemed a health and safety risk, dangerous or offensive to others.

Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission or requested to leave.

PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT

  • If the participant is under 18 years of age, the parent or legal guardian must also agree to the below :

  • I am the parent or guardian of the minor child named above and confirm they are 6 years old or over.

  • I have the legal authority to execute the above agreement on his or her behalf

  • I hereby give my full consent and approval for my child to participate in the Sauna.

  • I have read the above agreement and I intend for it to completely bind me and my minor child.

  • I hereby fully enter into and execute the above agreement on my own behalf and on behalf of my minor child.
     

WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY; COVENANT NOT TO SUE
I, for myself and group and for our personal representatives, executors, administrators, heirs or next of kin, forever waive, release, discharge, agree to hold harmless, and covenant not to sue Kiln Sauna, and their owners, shareholders, members, partners, employees, officers, directors, agents, and other affiliated persons or entities from any and all liability for any death, personal injury, damage to personal property, loss of personal property, costs, expenses, legal fees, actions, causes of action, suits, obligations, judgments and claims of any nature that I sustain in connection with my participation in the Sauna, except to the extent such damages, injuries, or death result from conduct that constitutes greater than ordinary negligence under UK law.

INDEMNIFICATION
I/We indemnify and agree to hold harmless Kiln Sauna and their owners, shareholders, members, partners, employees, officers, directors, agents, and other affiliated persons or entities from any and all liability for any death, personal injury, damage to personal property, loss of personal property, costs, expenses, legal fees, actions, causes of action, suits, obligations, judgments and claims of any nature arising from, or in connection with, my participation in the Sauna.

SEVERABILITY
Pursuant to UK law, nothing in this agreement purports or intends to waive liability for damage, injuries, or death resulting from conduct that constitutes greater than ordinary negligence. If any provision of this agreement is held invalid, such provision will be severed from this agreement, but the remaining provisions of this agreement will remain in full force and effect. I/We have carefully read the Kiln Sauna’ Terms & Conditions and understand its contents.
I am aware that by signing this agreement, I am waiving certain valuable rights, including the right to sue others for certain claims.


PERMISSION FOR MARKETING PURPOSES
I/We grant permission for Kiln Sauna, its representatives and employees, the right to take photographs of me/us and my/our property in connection with the above-identified subject. I/We authorise Kiln Sauna, and its assignees and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically. I/We agree that Kiln Sauna may use
such photographs of me/us with or without my/our name(s) and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Print / Web content.

PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy explains how Kiln Sauna will process the data relating to you that you provide to us, or that we may collect, when you visit our website at www.kilnsauna.com
